Konstantin Sidenko

Konstantin Semyonovich Sidenko was born on February 2, 1953 in the city of Khabarovsk. In 1975 he graduated from the Pacific Higher Naval School named after S.O. Makarov.
He served in the Pacific Fleet (PF) as the commander of mine-and-torpedo combat department of cruiser submarine, deputy commander, executive officer of large submarine (LS), commander of LS, deputy commander of submarine division.
After graduating in 1989 from the Naval Academy he returned to the Pacific Fleet for the post of deputy commander of submarine division.
In 1994 he graduated from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces and was assigned to the Pacific Fleet, where consistently served as the commander of submarine division, Chief of Staff / First Deputy Commander of Submarine Flotilla, Chief of Staff / First Deputy Commander of Squadron.
Since August 1999 – the Chief of Staff / First Deputy Commander, and from June 2000 – the Commander of the North-Eastern Forces.
From April 2002 – the Chief of Staff / First Deputy Commander of the Pacific Fleet.
From May 2006 – the Commander of the Baltic Fleet.
From December 2007 – the Commander of the Pacific Fleet.
Since July 2010 – the Acting Commander of the Eastern Military District.
The Decree of the RF President of December 29, 2010 appointed him as the Commander of the Eastern Military District.
He is awarded the Order of Military Merit, «For Service to the Motherland in the Armed Forces of the USSR» 3rd degree, and many Medals.
